Sophie was adopted by her family almost two years ago.
She was afraid of everything when she arrived in her new environment, so they helped her to adjust. Debbie Haase Krueger, Sophie’s owner, said that she always liked having a companion. She kissed anyone whose face got near her too.
When Sophie went for a walk, there was an accident that caused an injury in her tail. Her tail was harmed when it accidentally hit the door. Sophie seemed to be untroubled, but Debbie discovered that her tail was seriously injured.
Debbie brought Sophie to the veterinarian clinic. She needed to stay there for three days for surgery. Despite her injury, Sophie remained calm and happy. She returned home after the surgery; however, her tail wasn’t healing even after ten days of observation. Debbie decided to bring her back again to the veterinarian clinic, and they suggested that she should refrain from wagging her tail.
She was shocked by the veterinarian’s suggestion because she couldn’t see how to stop her dog’s tail from wagging.
Sophie was living a happy life, so wagging of the tail was inevitable. Debbie’s family was still determined to help her tail heal; therefore, they followed the veterinarian’s suggestion to give her some pants.
They tried boxer’s shorts, but it wasn’t fitted, so her tail was still wagging. They got an idea to buy her some leggings to wear until her full recovery. Sophie refused to wear leggings, but she gradually got used to them. When Debbie saw her struggling to walk, she decided to cut the knee parts of the leggings.
Sophie patiently wore her pants and leggings for a couple of weeks until the veterinarian rechecked her. They caught her trying to remove them several times. But, they believed that Sophie knew their purpose. She really looked adorable in her new outfits, although she was not comfortable wearing them. Fortunately, her owners didn’t give up on helping her. She needed to wear them for her full recovery.
