Sometimes, the royal life can be very exhausting and that is probably true even for dogs. That’s why a little Terrier named Siri loved escaping for a while and simply enjoy her life wandering around alone.
Siri belongs to the Prince Carl Philip of Sweden and she lives with the Prince and his wife Princess Sofia as well as the royal couple’s three kids named Alexander, Gabriel, and Julian. And she likes to occasionally escape from the royal life just like she did a few years back when the police had to escort her back home. This time, she did it again and that was how she became friends with two locals who safely took her back home.
As the locals shared, they first saw the pooch walking alone through some trail in the wintery Djurgården royal park. They initially thought that she belonged to a family nearby and simply enjoyed the afternoon in the park. But they became curious if that was really the case when the pooch started following them.
But unlike other probably lost dogs, this pooch was very calm and familiar with the road like she had walked it before. That was when they realized that she might have run away so they approached her, petted her, and made sure she felt safe. Then they noticed a phone number on her badge and quickly called and texted it but to no avail. They also tried the animal unit of Stockholm police but there was no response as well.
After they exhausted every other option they had, one of them quipped about how the prince had a dog and he just lived nearby. That comment sparked an idea and they went to google about the prince’s dog. And as it turned out, the little pooch really belonged to the prince and she escaped before so it was not really surprising to see her out again.
They had quite a bit of laugh about it and then picked her up to the front door of the prince’s home, called Villa Solbacken. The prince and his son fetched the dog when they rang the bell and thanked the locals for bringing Siri back safely. It was definitely a weird day for them but a very memorable one as well.
