We always remember our first experiences, and we could say with certainty that dogs remember theirs too.
These Golden Retriever brothers named Sterling and Collin were surprised when mom opened the door one day. It snowed!
While it’s not Sterling’s first rodeo, it was Collin’s very first experience. He looked at mom as though to ask what the powdery rain was.
Sterls probably filled the rookie in because there were no more questioning glances after that.
The dog siblings looked at each other, then sprinted outside to the adventure that was laid before them – their first snow experience together!
Sterling went right for the fun stuff – he ran around the yard in full sprint. Collin struggled to keep up, so he rested on the snowy deck steps. He discovered that this white rain was cold!
Before long, Collin was back on his feet and running across the yard. The dog siblings ran around for a bit more until they were both exhausted and ready to head inside for some petting and snuggling with their mom.
The next day, Collin wanted to go out and play, but mom and dad made them wear some clothes. Of course, the younger dog didn’t like it at all.
So, Sterling helped Collin get over his senseless protest so they could frolic in the forest. Without their clothes, they’d probably freeze to death out there.
All’s well that ends well. The dog siblings had a great time playing during all of this winter wonderland season. Collin even managed to meet a new pal, and it bugged him that his new pal didn’t have clothes on him!
Think about it this way, Collin. If you didn’t wear that protective clothing, you wouldn’t be able to play for an extended period. There’s a price for everything, boy!
We had a blast watching this dog duo experience their very first snowfall together!
