Dogs like to make a mess, but this one here brought it all to a different level.
While Father Sobriera delivered his sermon in a Sunday mass in Portugal, a dog suddenly appeared. It seemed that the pup was lost, and he wandered around to just about every corner in the church.
He began to rearrange the flowers, eat some of them, and pull the towels off the altar. Then, when he grew tired of doing this, he approached the priest and began rolling on his feet to encourage him to play.
The people all expected Father Sobriera to request someone to remove him. But instead of doing this, he let the hound continue. He even bit and pulled the priest’s gown.
Finally, the priest was convinced that the pooch was unstoppable with his antics. Father Sobriera worried if he was disturbing the audience. He then explained to them that pooch is just a puppy who wanted to play. And that had everyone smiling.
It’s a good thing that this puppy is so cute, it got to compensate for his bad timing!
When the mass concluded, the church officials immediately looked for the hound’s owner. It turns out that he was owned by someone with Alzheimer’s disease. Thankfully the pup owner’s daughter was present and recognized this pup whose name was actually Herman.
What a morning for this dog and to the people who witnessed him crash the mass!
Father Sobriera managed it so well; we applaud him for that! We hope that they got to play together while the staffers were looking for the dog’s parent. We’re confident the priest wished for more playtime with the pup. It didn’t seem he would get the chance to while he was still conducting mass!
