Girl Pretends To Be Hurt To Rescue Scared Stray Dog In An Off-Roading Park

Girl Pretends To Be Hurt To Rescue Scared Stray Dog In An Off-Roading Park

Ben Bowling January 22, 2022

In an off-roading park around Washington State, people began sharing news about a stray dog who was lost and all alone. Rumors of the said lost dog reached two local dog lovers namely Amanda and Dylan.

When Amanda Guarascio heard that there were sightings of the rumored stray dog nearby, she knew she had to do something. The dog, who was given the name Bear, was alone and lost in a park. Amanda and her friend Dylan immediately went to go help look for him.

When they finally found Bear, they attempted to get his attention and make him feel that they were not going to hurt him. They fed him food that they knew dogs would love. But no matter how much they fed him, the scared dog wouldn’t dare go near them. He was really frightened of going near people.

Then Amanda had a brilliant idea. Why not lay on the road and pretend to be hurt so she can get the pooch’s attention?

So Amanda curled up in a fetus position on the gravel road, hoping to get Bear to approach her. Bear started to growl and attempted to smell her.  But after seeing Amanda lying there for a while, Bear then lost interest and wandered off.

It was beginning to get cold. So Amanda went back home and opted to return to the park and try one more time.

When they got back to the park, she laid on the ground and continued pretending to be injured. There and then, Bear saw her again and felt that Amanda was in need of help.

When Amanda felt that Bear was getting closer, she started crawling near him too. She tried her best to inch closer and closer to Bear while pretending to whimper and yawn – apparently are calming signals to dogs.

When Bear felt that Amanda needed comfort and that she could be trusted, he laid next to her as his way of giving warmth and comfort.

For the next few hours, Amanda cuddled with Bear as her way of building more trust with the pooch. Eventually, he finally allowed her to slip a lead around his furry neck. Bear was now finally safe.

Thanks to these unsung heroes like Amanda, Bear is now in good hands and is on the road to recovery. Watch this inspiring story of selfless acts through the video below.
