Cooper is a Corgi pup who was born with short spine syndrome. Cooper did not pass the standards of how a regular Corgi should look like, so his breeders decided to abandon him.
Cooper was a mere puppy when his breeders left him alone in the woods. The animal control immediately contacted the rescue, asking to help the pup that they believe has a short spine syndrome.
This dog doesn't look like anyone else in the world ❤️

Elly Theis, one of the fosters working with the rescue, decided to help the special dog who needed a home. Elly recalled that the first thing she thought of was how to address the pup’s medical needs.
Elly shared that Cooper was skinny when she picked him up for the first time. Elly said that Cooper loved doing zoomies around the house despite being the new dog in the house.
Elly recalled that Cooper fractured his neck while he was playing and jumping around. Elly shared that Cooper’s recovery was slow, but their dog fortunately recovered quickly.
Elly happily shared that Cooper has two kinds of speed mode. Cooper’s version is one hundred miles an hour, and the other is completely spaced out.
Elly is proud of how Cooper easily adjusted to being a home dog. She said that Cooper was meant to be one, and she is relieved that Cooper does not seem to care about his heartbreaking past.
Elly could not help but feel pleased with how Cooper did not let his physical issues stop him from being the dog that he was meant to be. Elly always made sure that she sends Cooper’s every little achievement to her partner, Andy, such as climbing the couch and going down the stairs.
Elly admitted that she tried finding Cooper a new family, but only had one interested applicant. She recalled that she broke down every hour, and decided that she will adopt Cooper for good.
