Dads do all sorts of funny, crazy, and sometimes heartwarming things. Other than dad jokes, fathers can be extra careful and thoughtful – and these also include dog dads.
A pooch named Lucky was indeed lucky to have a father who deeply loved him. This dog dad won the hearts of the netizens after fixing a toy of his furbaby.
Fixing the broken toy
Michaella Wallace, one of the dog’s owners, said that Lucky and his stuffed bear were inseparable. But one incident almost broke the two apart.
Terry Wallace, Michaella’s dad, had found Lucky’s favorite teddy bear in bad condition. Usually, such a broken toy would be thrown away and be replaced. But instead of doing that, Terry did his best to bring the plushie back to life.
Bringing back the damaged toy to life had been possible, thanks to Terry’s CPR skills. He had even set up a drip. There was also a picture of the teddy bear lying in bed with Lucky, the dog, sitting next to it.
You might be wondering how the toy ended up in bad shape. Michaella said that Lucky was let outside for bathroom ahead of an incoming snowy storm. The dog took the bear with him, but unfortunately, the stuffed toy got lost in the dark and was eventually buried in snow.
The next day, Terry went on a rescue mission once the snow melted and eventually found the toy. Knowing how important the toy to his pup, Terry did everything he could to fix it.
People couldn’t help but say, “Awwww!”
The sweet gesture had gone viral, melting people’s hearts online. One Twitter user said that this was just one of the many skills required to become a pet owner. Another hailed Terry as the “Dad of the Year.” A third Twitter user said that this was the type of dog dad that all doggies deserved; she even added that she lost it at Terry doing CPR.
