Research suggests that dogs can actually perceive music and react accordingly to a tune. And over time, it became apparent that classical music is almost every dog’s favorite genre. However, that is not the case for this adorable border collie from Belgium, whose favorite music turns out to be her local ice cream truck’s song!
Luna, a two-year-old border collie hailing from Deerlijk in Belgium, had always been fond of a lot of usual canine stuff. She enjoyed playing fetch with her fur dad, Niko Tanghe, and running around the beach and nearby fields with her fur sister, Ina.
Unlike most other dogs, though, Luna was not quite interested in music. But that began to change one fateful day when the border collie met the local ice cream man, Jo Vuylsteke. Jo’s rounds often included passing by Luna’s home, and one day, he caught the pup hanging out in front of their house.
Being a huge animal lover, Jo decided to hand a piece of ice cream cone to the pooch. Luna happily munched on the tasty treat as Jo drove away. But little did he knew that this small gesture of his stuck with Luna.
Since then, whenever the pup would hear the ice cream truck’s song, she would immediately head to the roadside and wait for Jo to pull up their street. Once he did, Luna would hop up for a pet from her favorite ice cream vendor and enjoy all the attention.
It quickly became a routine of hers, so Niko decided to record the wholesome encounter one day. In the clip, Luna could be seen getting excited at the sight of the approaching truck. The moment Jo’s truck stopped by their house, the border collie happily jumped up to greet him and wait for her tasty ice cream cone.
When Niko uploaded the clip on Facebook, it surprisingly went viral with now almost 500,000 views. Watch Luna’s adorable reaction to the ice cream truck here.
