Abused Dog Abandoned After Being Unable To Walk And Breed

Abused Dog Abandoned After Being Unable To Walk And Breed

Ben Bowling November 12, 2021

Pumba the dog spent the majority of his life unaware of what love was. His prior family exploited him for breeding, and he’s never been treated as a member of the household.

When he lost mobility in his legs, his humans realized he was no longer useful in their breeding operation and abandoned him.

Second shot

Pumba felt terrified, lonely, and disoriented. The dog’s situation was brought to the attention of Animal Aid Unlimited in India, and they hurried to save him without any hesitation.

It took quite a large number of people to carry Pumba from one location to another, but the effort was well worth it. The organization was passionate about getting him back on track.

Hydrotherapy was the first step in Pumba’s road to recovery. Since he had minimal to no muscle tone, he had to be taught to exercise gently. The shelter staff supported him in the water while he paddled his legs, which aided him in gaining muscle strength.

After a few weeks, Pumba’s efforts were eventually recognized. During this journey, the dog discovered what it was like to be truly cared for.

Amazing results

Pumba learned to walk on his own after roughly six weeks. He still needed assistance getting up, but once on his feet, he was able to navigate like any other dog. From then on, he just got a lot better.

The shelter staff believed that Pumba never played with other canines before because of how clueless he looked around them. Nonetheless, he looked very happy and every new experience was exciting for him.

Despite his remarkable recovery, Pumba still needed a forever home. The shelter wanted to make sure he received the perfect family for him. Pumba had gone through a lot, and he deserves to be treated right.
