When a doggie is excited, it does all sorts of moves. A dog can trot, bounce, and lie down to wave its paws up in the air. There is this small pooch that has got the moves with great original tap dance steps.
Doggie dances for food
What makes a dog excited? Food! When it is time to eat, a dog can go across a room while dancing with joy to get to the food bowl. This dog in our featured video does a dance of joy when the owner gives him food.
Tap dancing
This Corgi has the rhythm, and his moves are similar to tap dancing steps. He clicks his front paws on the wooden floor when he dances. He does not need a pair of tap dancing shoes to make a clicking sound as this Corgi uses the power of his front paws and nails to strike the floor to achieve a tapping sound.
Signaling the owner
This dog uses his dance to signal his owner that he is hungry. He also uses his paws to tap the floor when he wants more dog food. When this bowl is empty, the dog pulls the rug underneath it to move it. This pooch will drag the mat across the floor, and dance to signify that he wants to eat.
Herding the owner
This dog in the video is a Corgi. Corgis are herding dogs when they are hungry; they will try to herd their owner around a room to do as they want! Dogs of this breed do have a healthy appetite, and this one is trying to herd its hooman!
Dog communication
To dance is this dog’s way to communicate what he needs and wants. Dogs do signal us what they need with their moves. We see how they react when we bring them their food. We should carefully observe our pets so we won’t miss their signals, as they do want to communicate with us.
