The holiday season has been good to many. Some were able to meet their family relatives and friends once again while others got to celebrate the season the way they used to.
However, one family from Caledonia, Wisconsin almost had a miserable Christmas after their dog was stolen from them. Thankfully, this story has a happy ending.
The stolen Boston Terrier
The Soto family was watching a holiday lights show at Jellystone Park, Caledonia, Wisconsin when their Boston Terrier named Bruno was taken away from them. The Sotos tried to look for the pup to no avail. As a result, the family decided to offer a reward worth $4,000 for the return of their beloved pet.
Jamie Soto, the family’s matriarch, detailed to a news outlet how Bruno was abducted. She said that her son went to their Land Rover to grab something; it must be noted that Bruno was inside this car at that time. Jamie’s son then accidentally left the keys in the car.
Subsequently, an opportunistic thief stole the car that happened to have Bruno.
Bruno’s absence was a big deal to the Soto family. Jamie said that the Boston Terrier had a special place in her heart, as the animal helped her son deal with anxiety. Bruno would even sleep next to her son.
Jamie said that Bruno and her son were best friends. The night Bruno was stolen, Jamie’s son was up all night and didn’t even go to sleep at all.
Bruno is home
Jamie’s green Land Rover was spotted in the southern part of Milwaukee. Sadly, Bruno wasn’t there. But eventually, the Soto family received a fateful phone call.
The caller said that Bruno was at Kozi Park, which was also in the southern part of Milwaukee. The family rushed to the said park and found the pooch tied up there
Bruno’s return became an early Christmas gift for the Sotos. Jamie’s son couldn’t be happier.
